Google has decided to postpone the changes to the Google Partners program that were slated for June. The new eligibility requirements won't go into effect until 2021, giving agencies one less thing to worry about during this time of incredible strain for their– and their clients' — businesses.
We noticed Bing has added the CDC's coronavirus self-checker chatbot to "coronavirus"-related search results. Users can engage directly with the chatbot on Bing search result pages. We've been monitoring Google and Bing results pages for these terms to see how they evolve during this crisis. Google has a link to the self-checker. The tool was developed using Microsoft's Healthcare Bot service.
In other Bing news, the search engine now supports the new snippet controls using robots meta tags. You can use them to control the character length of your snippets in the search results as well as image preview size and video preview length. Google added support for the controls in September.
