Good morning search marketers, there are some new reports you might want to check out.
First, if you have reviews implemented on your site, you can now see review snippets performance and other reviews-related reporting in Google Search Console. It will show any errors, warnings and valid pages for ratings markup implemented on your site. You can also test review rich snippets in the Rich Results Test tools.
Second, if you run Google Shopping campaigns, the price competitiveness report is now available in Google Merchant Center for eligible accounts. We know price matters for visibility, traffic and conversions in Google Shopping, now this reporting can help you understand how your product pricing stacks up against your Google Shopping competitors. While you may not have direct control over product prices, this data can help inform your strategies. Thanks to Duane Brown of Take Some Risks Inc. for first alerting us to this roll out!
Duane will be among the experts speaking on digital commerce marketing at SMX West next week. I'll be kicking off the conference with a discussion on paid and organic search trends for commerce brands with executives from P&G and Under Armour. I hope you can join us in San Jose.
And speaking of SMX, Barry Schwartz sat down with our CEO Chris Elwell to talk about the very early days of search marketing with Danny Sullivan (who will be keynoting SMX Advanced), running the business behind our sites and events — oh, and that time Sergey Brin skated on stage. It's a great interview.
Keep reading for a Pro Tip on top of funnel campaigns and chatter about a Google search update.
